DON-8r miniature Fund Raising robot


DON-8r is unlike other robots. Pronounced as "donator", it is a miniature robot being capable of traveling in public places to collect coins from fellow passers-by.

DON-8r use the main source of power for the robot to keep moving is the donation that each passers-by offer. DON-8r goes directly towards a chosen charity trust. Taking its inspiration from the increasingly pessimistic attitude that several people have towards on-the-street charitable trust workers, DON-8r helps raise funds via cheering playful and compassionate support from unfamiliar people and passers-by. In recent times, DON-8r has been impressing shoppers in Dundee, Scotland for raising money as well as creating awareness for Dundee Science Centre.

This brilliant robot, designed to be re-branded in order to suit various charities, offers an exclusive platform for charities to connect with people of the community in a fun and unforgettable manner.

DONA, A Robotic Begger


DONA is another robot that solicits donations from passer-by by engages people in a pet-like interaction. DONA succeeds to attract the attention of passers-by, and also succeed to raise money for "Save the Children", a well-known international aid organization.

There is just an element of distrust for beggars these days that most of us practice a stone cold face while walking past a beggar whose hands are stretched out, asking for some sort of alms – any loose change that you have on you. All I can say is that – whether an organization is reach abundant to employ robotic beggars to solicit donations from the public, soon after that organization surely doesn’t need much money in the first place since robots aren’t cheap.

HRP-4, new model robot uses for take care old people

The latest, AIST (Japan’s National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science & Technology) and Kawada Industries get develop humanoid or robot a kind that have body structure resembles a human "HRP-4" In stark contrast to the feminine HRP-4C (unveiled last year)

The HRP-4 has a decidedly robotic appearance resembling a slim athlete. It stands 150cm (5′) tall and weighs only 39kg (86 lbs) including its battery, which makes it the smallest and lightest of the HRP family, It runs Linux and AIST’s proprietary Open RTM-aist control software, and its backpack has room for a small laptop computer which can be upgraded whenever necessary.
It has a total of 34 degrees of freedom and has a grasping force of 0.5kg. The use of standardized parts and an optimized mechanical design has lowered its production cost, which means labs will be able to purchase one for much less than its predecessors.

Beside, the robot responds to voice commands, and shows off its face and object recognition (pink balls), in the following demonstration. The robot’s flexibility and stable movement can be seen as it reaches around and touches its own back, and when its legs cross as it plants one foot directly in front of the other. The HRP-4 supposes will to sell between 3 and 5 units per year. At price 26,000,000 JPY ($306,000 USD)

"Chapit" a robot remembers the speech


A robot communicates "Chapit" of RayTron is a household robot that develop to upward for controlling home appliances by chapit that has voice-recognition technology allowing it to respond to spoken phrases and commands, allowing it to serve as a voice-activated universal remote in your living room.

Chapit's name be from three words: chat+pico (small)+robot and develop from concept idea that friendliness, simplicity, and convenience.

Its head of chapit that can nod and tilt and its feet can move independently from the body, which can swivel in place. The eyes and mouth shapes are built up of several LEDs that can display a small selection of states, like opening and closing. It has will large ears at is the microphones for pick up voice commands (around 1000 words) and its embedded speaker and speech synthesis function allow it to respond using a database of associated words and phrases.

Besides controlling home appliances, Chapit can update its data through mobile phones with infrared capability, or through wireless internet connection. An optional feature currently under development is a camera which can send images to the user’s cellphone, PDA, or laptop.

OSP Robot to Save Our Earth

After the whole oil spill is surrounded, clean-up crews can get straight to work, sucking all those oils out. The OSP can be easily deployed from a helicopter or boat to accomplish its

OSP unit can be transported to the accident site rapidly and commence its mission immediately. Like a torpedo and mine operation in navy, OSP can be deployed from a helicopter or boat and accomplish its mission through the multi-robot control algorithms.

Twendy-One, A robotic helping hand to the elderly


Japan be the country at have the research and develop robots to assist the elderly with everything from exercise and independent living to shopping. And this is an example of a robot helper to join the fray designed to support aging people in their daily activities.

Twendy-One is human symbiotic robot that has designed to co-exist with humans and assist with nursing care and housekeeping.

Twendy-One have design the body makes of soft silicone skins and force sensors that detect physical contact with a person on any part of its body, size and range of movement are designed to reflect those of the average adult female. It measures 1.46m high and 73.4cm wide. To overcome the limitations and difficulties of a bipedal design then design gave it an omni-directional wheel-based mechanism for mobility that allows the robot to move around efficiently even if the robot is in a narrow space. This mobile mechanism equips twelve ultrasonic sensors and a six-axis force sensor to detect objects and humans near the robot and avoid collisions.

Beside, Twendy-One still participate assemble other that important, neither be finger and hands that have four-finger-hand has 13 degrees of freedom. An arm from shoulder to elbow has four degrees of freedom with a small and lightweight. The trunk which has four degrees of freedom in total with high power actuators installed into the joints enabling it to pick up a heavy object on the floor and even support a human body weighing up to 35kg as they get out of bed or get up from a chair. And last, a head of Twendy-One contains two CCD cameras surrounded by LEDs, a speaker, and a six-axis force sensor. The illumination of the LEDs shows the condition of the robot’s vision system, while the force sensor can detect a human touch of the head
Twendy-One is a robot that was has the research and development by a team of Waseda University led by Professor Shigeki Sugano along with the cooperation of more than 20 private companies.
Upon release the finalized robot is expected to cost between US$110,350 to US$220,700

Myon, a humanoid robot created by Neurorobotics Research Laboratory at the Humboldt University of Berlin.
