Onida Phone for India, Meant to Cost Less Than $5

Philippe Daguillon is aware of the problems that India is facing and imagined a handset that will fit this market. He created the Onida cellphone, a very affordable handset, that’s supposed to cost less than $2. In India 80% of the population lives with $2 a day and can be illiterate, according to the designer.

This is a phone for illiterate persons, share in the Indian community and packing a low price. I don’t mean any of these as an insult to India, these are pure statistics. The cover for the Onida phone is also a wallet and as you can see the device is very simple, with a small display showing signal, battery, time and carrier, with some numeric keys, a messaging button, a call and end call button and an up and down button. Considering the fact that the idea of the Aakash tablet with a $35 price tag came to life in India, maybe this phone will be turned to reality, too.

Samsung Galaxy S3 with a 360 Degree view of video

This is the Samsung Galaxy S3, which design by 4.8 inch device with a 720p display and Super AMOLED Plus technology involved and a quad core Exynos 4412 processor at 1.5 GHz, an 8 megapixel camera at the back with dual LED flash and 1080p video recording at 40 fps and optional slow motion mode (qHD resolution at 150 fps).

These specs seem to fit those detailed by the latest rumors and also keeping up with them, this concept comes with a ceramic backing in black and white. There’s also an aluminum chassis in the mix for extra strength. Software buttons are also in the mix, those typical Android 4.0 ones below the display.

Smart Phone Pamphlet Design

This is an example of the Smartphone Booklet, a disposable phone thin as a cardboard and imagined by Ilshat Garipov. The designer envisions a handset that you can throw after using and that’s able to unfold like a pamphlet with each side being used for a specific application or function.

Manufacturers will be able to cut the device to any size and if you get tired of the Booklet or if it wears out you can recycle it. No problems with storage here, since everything is based on cloud technology and there are no worries about the battery, since the sun will provided the need energy, absorbed by nanoparticles. The only problem with this cardboard/paper/nanoparticle phone is that it looks pretty fragile, as if it’ll break apart or tear any minute now.

iPhone 5 concept by ADR Studio

I want to see a new iPhone 5. I suspect it's will like concept or not? Example designing by ADR Studio, this model comes with a capacitive home button, aluminum unibody case, a 4.3 inch screen and a dual core Apple A6 processor.

It’s also got iOS 5.1 and iCloud, while its body looks more compact than ever, so it may have a thickness lower than 8.5mm (Galaxy S II thickness). The elongated capacitive Home button is something that people have been talking about for a while now, so it would be a pity not to capitalize on that innovation.

This week I’ve heard that Apple finally decided to go with Samsung as its next CPU maker, although TSMC seemed like the favourite for making the A6 for a while… Also, inside sources are saying that the same case size of the iPhone 4S will be kept, but the screen will be made bigger, so maybe we’re talking edge to edge display here. These are all usual rumors, that we’ll be hearing for a year now, till the iPhone 5 gets released…

iPhone 5 Asymmetrical Concept

Why many people think the iPhone 5 will design have the figure that the symmetry is like iPhone previous.

And this designing that think to different. Because, It is original and brings us an iPhone 5 with an asymmetrical design.This model integrates the screen very discretely and replaces the volume buttons with a + and – key, while the Home button is still there, but it’s almost invisible. The back side looks very much like the one of the iPhone 4 but the main idea of this device is that it has a more rounded side and a straight side

The camera seems to use a dual LED flash of sorts. Imagine an iPhone 4 with an edge cut by a precision knife… Pure metal and something original at last!

iPhone Capsule, the Mini iPhone

Here is the iPhone Capsule or the Mini iPhone that design have specifications include a 2.4 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, that’s protected against dust, fingerprints, water and scratches. There’s also a 3.2 megapixel camera on board with support for video recording of up to 30 fps in VGA model.

You can control the iPhone Capsule by shaking it, with features such as turning on or off music, changing the tune and volume being available through such gestures.

The handset comes with a stainless steel frame and supports 3D stereo sound provided by the headset it comes with. As far as connectivity goes, you’ve got 3G, HSDPA and WiFi, plus Bluetooth and USB.And have size 4.89 x 10.1 x 1.35 cm and weighs 87 g.

The Samsung Cave concept

This device is designed for people who love texting and it incorporates the keyboard in a pretty original way. It's call "The Samsung Cave concept"

The keypad is inclined at a 30 degree angle, while the entire curved shape of the handset surely helps with the typing experience and with the grip of the unit. You can leave those boring slideout designs for a while and focus on texting on this baby. The downside to this design is how bulky the handset is…

Unless there’s a way to retract that keyboard, like some sort of accordion mechanism, I’ll consider this smartphone to be huge, especially if the screen is bigger than 3.3 inches. Multitasking and Android are also probably supported. It’s interesting that this is a “with Google” phone, so it may be considered a Nexus concept.

WristPC, Ultra-Mobile Personal Computer

WristPC is a pioneering concept that combines all computer functions, capable of handling all the vital requirements of the user throughout the day.

This wearable ultra-mobile personal computer plus communication device concept offers a novel experience with is great portability and innovative architecture. It can be worn like a wristwatch, allowing the user to remain connected to the web anytime, anywhere. The WristPC concept boasts a completely functional 3.5 inch touch-screen display plus a keypad onto the side of the wristband. Floating Phone Concept 2015

How about a Floating Phone concept made from plastic polymers that include silicon and carbon? And how about a phone that relies on E-Ink tech and it’s very user-friendly, especially for blind users?

Floating Phone is supposed to be a 2015 handset, that actually includes a floating surface, very useful to correct mistakes when typing. Visually impaired persons can feel the surface of the phone, that will probably use Braille for feedback. This model supports page customization however the user likes it and there’s also a rotating sensor making the unit quirky.

The bottom line is that this model’s surface can turn into anything you need, from Braille keypad, to joystick and QWERTY keyboard.

Fresh Nokia Concept Phone

Tommy Incrosnatu, the same guy who created this incredible Nokia concept phone, also designed the following device that you see below. He teamed up with artists Oula Runila and Miika Herranen, while the background photo belongs to Shawn Palmquist. As you can see, we have a very modern smartphone interface right here, with simplified graphics.

This concept was created in order to showcase the beauty of Finnish nature and the result will be a 60 second TV clip, according to Tommy. We can only imagine that we’re seeing here is a very beautiful Nokia phone design of the future, with an UI that reminds me a bit of MeeGo and a Home menu that’s a little bit like the one in HTC Sense.

The widgets are pretty interesting in this interface and while the device looks like the HTC HD7 a tiny bit, we can’t help but imagine it to be Nokia smartphone with Windows Phone 7 on board…

Triple Flip Concept Windows Phone 7

This one touch phone, it’s a triple flip cell phone that is endowed with multiple keypads for user’s convenience. Just one touch is sufficient to open the smart phone. The triple phone is equipped with a bigger QWERTY, along with the lateral keypads for a leisurely experience while navigating.

The user can have an ultimate gaming experience in landscape mode with full screen and 21 programmable buttons to their advantage. Other features of the device include video calls and HDMA/DLNA connectivity. But what about the green evolution, that is garnering all the attention these days? Triple Flip has all the answers as it comes with a solar charging panel working towards sustainability.

Besides, the smartphone has a bombastic 2000 x 1000 (2:1) HD touchscreen and a mini HDMI port onboard. For picture lovers, it has the modish forward stereo cameras equipped with flash. Looking at the newfangled design, it seems that Windows Phone 7 has started adopting unusual designs to cater to their customer demands.
